Cabras is a zone located just a short distance from Oristano on the noth-eastern bank of the pond with the same name.
cabras pond is one of the largest in Europe. Travelling along narrow roads one reaches its banks bordered with cane thickets and inhabited by a myriad of aquatic birds, mullets, bass, and two species of eels.
The typical boat used on the pond is the "fassone".
Included in this territory are the Catalano and Mal di Ventre Isles, located south-west of Cape Mannu.
One important monument is the 6th century hypogean Sanctuary of San Salvatore.
