A small mining center founded in the second half of the 1800, Buggerru spans the harsh valley of Canale Malfidano, where it opens scenically to the sea. This valley has given its name the Malfidano mine, which is the most important in the area.
The main road that leads to Buggerru comes from the north and touches on the magnificent Portixeddu beach, with the dunes of S.Nicolò behind, coovered by an immense reforestation of domestic pines, of which the most imposing are indigenous to the area, with aheavy branches and enormous trunks.
